Editorial, Google Cloud

Responsibilities: As of fall, 2021, I manage AI/ML editorial content for Google Cloud. During the rest of 2021, I managed Google Cloud's editorial content for the manufacturing, supply chain, healthcare, and financial services industries, as well as for API management and no-code programming. Before that, I led Apigee's thought leadership output, including editorials, ebooks, strategic messaging, and special projects such as Apigee Compass and Apigee's Medium channel, APIs and Digital Transformation.
Notable Projects & Accomplishments: I helped Apigee's thought leadership earn praise in Gartner's 2018 Magic Quadrant report, which names Apigee a leader in the Full Lifecycle API Management category, and I helped build Google Cloud's Forbes BrandVoice channel.

QUANTIFIND, Menlo Park, CA, April 2015 – October 2016

Responsibilities: I managed Quantifind's relationship with analysts and other industry influencers; write or edit Quantifind's editorial and insights marketing content; and produce technical writing and advertising copy.
Notable Projects & Accomplishments: I worked collaboratively to plan and successfully execute multi-channel campaigns, webinars and live events; helped Quantifind achieve praise in a March 2016 report from Forrester Research; and wrote or co-wrote (under executive byline) articles in CMSWire, Marketing Land, and other trade publications.

Responsibilities: I managed Quantifind's editorial content across multiple dimensions, including writing thought leadership articles for external publication, writing or editing blog posts and press releases, and overseeing SEO, social media, and web analytics efforts.

Responsibilities: I managed content across Google Maps Business View websites, including localization; and created documentation, user guides, flowcharts, and other user education content to drive photographer and agency participation.
Notable Projects & Accomplishments: I co-devised a redesign of the Google Maps Business View websites, and met the needs of international stakeholders by keeping existing Google Maps Business View sites up to date during the redesign process.

Responsibilities: I produced daily content, including IT news articles, editorials, reviews, white papers, social media posts, and videos; contributed to InformationWeek Radio; served as the site's West Coast photographer; and recruited and managed external columnists. Notable Projects & Accomplishments: Over a two-year period, my articles led the site in key traffic and reader engagement metrics, including unique visitors, bounce rate, user registrations, and user comments. At various points, I was the lead reporter on the mobile device management, Microsoft, Dell, PC/tablet, and Cisco reporting beats, and I interviewed leading industry figures including Dell founder and CEO Michael Dell and then-Cisco CEO John Chambers. I appeared on Marketplace as an expert commentator to discuss Cisco and the Internet of Things, and my reporting has been cited by The Guardian, The Huffington Post, Computerworld, The Christian Science Monitor, the Progressive Policy Institute, the Federal Communications Commission, The New Media Consortium, Michigan Law Review, Stanford Law Review, and various academic papers and IT blogs.

Responsibilities: I taught SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT classes; served as a featured speaker at Kaplan community engagement events, and at various education industry functions; created course curriculum and instructor training content; resolved local customer service issues; and hired, trained, and managed Bay Area instructors from 2008 to 2011.
Notable Projects & Accomplishments: I was named Bay Area Instructor of the Year in 2008 and 2011; was one of the top-rated instructors in the nation (as measured by both student satisfaction surveys and internal evaluations); and was one of the top-rated marketing presenters in California (as measured by attendee surveys and sales conversions).
